The Texas Board of Legal Specialization is our state’s organization that certify Texas lawyers in a particular specialty. The Texas Supreme Court established this organization to help consumers identify lawyers with special competence and high ethical standards in various areas of law. It is difficult for attorneys to attain certification in an area of law. The requirements include a written examination, specific number of cases tried in Court, and recommendations from other lawyers and judges.
When picking a law firm, make sure it is headed by a personal injury specialist. When you need a will, or need to incorporate your new busines, choose lawyers that specialize in those areas. And when you have been injured through the fault of someone else, choose a firm headed by a lawyer board-certified in personal injury trial law.
